Weekly Progress Log #2 : Sewing & Costumery
This week I work on an 1890s bodice, some crazy puffed sleeves, lots of beading, and an 18th century ensemble! ... Soo this was filmed back in January. I edited it last month but never posted it since I felt it was kind of…boring, I guess? I get really critical when i’m out of the habit of doing something (especially with writing, which is why blogging is a constant battle) and over these past few weeks i’ve discovered I have a similar problem when it comes to editing. I’ve tried filming and editing several videos and haven’t been happy with them, even though they are similar to things i’ve posted and have received positive feedback on in the past. So that’s a big part of the reason why my channel has been empty recently. But i’m trying to push through that! And I think posting this is my first step towards getting back into the “swing of things”. I have three videos filmed right now - a headpiece tutorial and two “Making of” videos about a medieval cotehardie. Plus several videos that I plan on filming soon - including a video about my research process, a costume spotlight, and the promised etsy haul. I’m trying to focus personal projects right now, so I can’t promise weekly videos just yet but hopefully i’ll have something to post two or three times a month. I really appreciate the patience and i’m sorry i’ve been such a fail when it comes to posting so far this year! If you enjoyed this video you might like my previous weekly log!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WT3Gl...
