Tribute to Proganochelys
Sanctacaris was a small marine arthropod from the Cambrian period, over 500 million years ago. It had a broad head shield and a segmented body with multiple pairs of jointed limbs used for walking and feeding. It lacked antennae and had simple eyes, linking it to early chelicerates like horseshoe crabs. It lived on the seafloor and is known from well-preserved fossils in the Burgess Shale.
