The story starts form the migration of Hussain Hashwani, who belonged to Khoja Isma'ili family from current India to Karachi, Pakistan. He started textile business with Ralli Bros Limited. Ralli Bros shifted to India at the time of Partition, however, Hashwani Family continued importing cotton and were one called king of Cotton Industry in Pakistan. Later on Sadar ud din Hashwani started showing interest in hoteling business and established two hotels in Islamabad and Karachi with the name of Holiday Inn. The name of Holiday Inn Islamabad was later on changed to Marriott Hotel Islamabad.
