#62 Pretty 2-Tone Acrylic Paint Ribbon Pour With Warm and Cool Colors - Easy For Beginners! Wanted to practice my ribbon pouring before tackling a large commission this weekend. This really is a fun and versatile pour technique - so many options on how to set your composition. This is rapidly becoming one of my favorite techniques! Colors are shown in the video. My pouring medium was 1p Golden GAC-800, 3p mix, 1/2p Liquitex Gloss PM and water to thin out just a bit. I probably could’ve gotten away with not using any water - my paints ended up being a little thinner than I like after pouring them. After realizing the amount of time it took to prep and clean up, it wasn’t quite as appealing to me anymore. That’s when I stumbled onto some YouTube videos about acrylic pouring and I WAS HOOKED. This was in 2020, and with COVID running rampant, it was the perfect thing to keep me occupied and staying home, safe and sound. This art form is extremely cathartic and empowering at the same time.
