The Inuit are one of the indigenous peoples living in the Arctic region, covering a vast area from Alaska, Canada, Greenland, to eastern Russia. Living in an area with extreme temperatures and harsh soil, the Inuit have a very close relationship with their natural environment, making them a society that is truly tested in surviving in an environment that is inhospitable to most people. Living in the midst of temperatures reaching tens of degrees below zero, the Inuit have developed unique cultures and traditions, such as building igloo houses from ice to protect themselves from strong winds, using sleds to move around, and hunting sea animals such as seals, whales, and fish which are their main food sources. From the results of their hunt, they use every part of the animal's body—skin, fat, meat, and bones—for clothing, shelter, and hunting tools.
