Why does the mind tire easily, restlessly, and never feel satisfied— even when its needs are met? In this Traces of Light meditation, we are invited to delve into the Buddha's words, which are both poignant and compassionate. The Buddha did not blame the world. He did not blame others. He pointed directly to our own hearts. He revealed three inner enemies— unseen enemies, but most dangerous because they work silently: • Greed – insatiable desire • Hatred – the fire that burns its possessor • Ignorance – the blindness that gives birth to suffering Through the parables of the lotus leaf, the palm fruit, and the sunlight, the Buddha taught that liberation does not come from denial, but from clear understanding.
