One of the rarest Chevy muscle cars in the country. A documented big block tri-power with a 4-speed and 4.11 posi in a stripped down Bel Air. It has been nut and bolt restored to factory new. One of the best restorations anywhere. Someone could duplicate this car with these options and in this condition for around $125,000 to $150,000. The documentation this car has makes it an incredible rarity. We have a notarized affidavit of authenticity stating this car is genuine from 3 people including the original owner! We also have original finance contract when the 1st owner bought the car new. We have registrations in the original owner's name up to 1991. It was purchased new from Grotewood Motors in Inwood Iowa, salesman's name was Dick Hansen. The original owner sold it in 1991 to Ennis Lund who owns a high end restoration shop. He spent the next 10 years making this car better than new. We have a photo album of the restoration process including some before pictures. The before shows the 348 tri-power motor and the 4-speed shifter on the floor. EXTERIOR: Absolutely pristine body. Every inch is laser straight. The gaps are precise. Doors, hood and trunk click shut. Pictures show this car down to a bare shell. Finished over 20 years ago and still not a bubble, crack, shrinkage or body work showing that I could find. The paint is like red glass. Every piece of chrome was restored. It has the cool rockets on the fenders and a bow tie mirror. The stainless trim is straightened and polished. The grill is pristine original, the owner pulled it out and replaced with a custom grill back in 1960. The original grill was hanging on a nail in his garage. Every rubber seal was replaced. It has correct T-3 headlights and the cool "cat's" eyes taillights. Crystal clear glass, NOS windshield. Restored rims with NOS poverty hubcaps and reproduction BFG Silvertown tires. INTERIOR: It was a gutted shell and restored like new. The upholstery, door panels, carpet and headliner were all replaced. The dash area was restored like new. The gauges, knobs, radio, steering wheel look new. It has a rare padded dash and it fits perfectly. Light works in the glovebox, cigarette lighter matches the other knobs. You can lift the carpet, look under the dash and it looks new. The odometer was set back to zero, it now has about 250 miles since restored. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Meticulously restored to brand new condition. Rare high performance 348 big block. This was the top dog making 335 hp from the help of tri-power carbs, solid lifters, performance cam and 11.25:1 compression. #s, casting codes and dates match. We have the original tags from the carbs, new ones were installed during restoration. Every component is rebuilt. Correct hoses and clamps. Every painted surface is smooth. This is as nice as they get. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Pristine metal, completely painted smooth red finish. New trunk mat, seat divider, decals, weatherstrip, wiring and trunk latch. Restored rim with 5th matching reproduction tire. Complete jack and spare assembly is detailed. It looks brand new. UNDERSIDE: Body off frame rotisserie restoration. Underneath this car is like it left the factory yesterday. The chassis was disassembled, rebuilt and detailed. The steering and suspension was completely redone and highly detailed. They even used correct spiral shocks. The frame is a smooth semi glass black, it's not even pitted. It has the correct dual exhaust that follows the X frame. NOS exhaust including mufflers and resonators with period correct dumps. Brake system was entirely rebuilt. We have pictures with the drums off and it is detailed even where you can't see. E-brake assembly, hoses and lines have all been replaced. The fuel system has been replaced from the tank to the carburetor. Even the bottom of the motor is spotless, it has the correct canister type oil filter. The starter is rebuilt. It has a correctly dated 4-speed T10 trans restored like new. Rebuilt drive shaft. Correct 4.11 posi rear. The floors are perfectly clean metal painted a smooth red oxide primer. One of the best restorations I've seen. This is one of the first muscle cars. Someone deliberately ordered the highest performance features in the stripped down, no frills Bel Air! Amazing car on every level. I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Visit our website to see over 300 vehicles for sale! http://www.volocars.com Also check out our... Facebook: http://on.fb.me/1KZy7vI
