PV webinar
This webinar is a useful refresher for those who have worked on pre- and post-market adverse event detection/reporting, and an introduction to those with little or no subject knowledge. Pharmacovigilance is the process by which any side-effects or adverse reactions to drugs are captured and communicated to medical professionals and patients. It takes place before, and during drug trials as well as after products have been launched on the market. But depending on when it happens, the mechanics and challenges are quite different. Pharmacovigilance is the reason that prescription drugs contain leaflets explaining the potential side-effects of the drug and it is the bedrock of safer and more effective prescribing of modern medicines.
