Beno Blachut & Marta Krásová: Dimitrij (A.Dvořák) Act I duet between Dimitrij and Marfa

Another part of the Czech Golden Voices series. Again, the thanks go to Sean. Beno Blachut 14th June 1913 Ostrava - 10th January 1985 Prague Tenor. Studied singing with L. Kadeřábek. Since 1941 (28 y.old) he sang at the National Theatre, at first as a lyric tenor, but it turned out that he was capable of further development. He sang at the National Theatre until his death. Marta Krásová 16th March 1901 Protivín - 20th February1970 Vráž u Berouna Mezzo-soprano. She studied singing in Prague and in Vienna, besides others with O. Borová-Valoušková, R. Maturová and A. Granforte. She sang in Bratislava (1922-1928), and at the National Theatre in Prague (1928-1966). Her most famous roles were especially Kostelnička Buryjovka (Jenůfa), Ježibaba (Rusalka), Countess (Queen of Spades), Azucena (Il Trovatore), Amneris (Aida), Carmen, Dalila or Orfeus, besides others.
