'From The Factory Floor’ takes you on a deep dive into select processes around the PRS factory. In this episode, we explore the staining process. After a quality inspection of the guitar, our stain team will apply water, oil, or alcohol-based stains to complement the unique character of the wood. When Paul Reed Smith started the company in 1985 he offered just three color options - we now offer dozens of stain colors and proudly encourage our stain team to experiment and develop new combinations.
