Each group will run a six lap race, with each car starting from all six starting positions. The top twelve cars in the standings at the end of the Dinoco 400 will advance on to the second race of the series. The second race will consist of twelve cars that will be split into two groups of six. The top six cars in the standings at the end of the second race will advance to the final race. The overall winner of the final race will be the Piston Cup champion. In case of a tie in points between any of the drivers, the first tiebreaker will be number of group wins. The second tiebreaker will be number of laps led. If there is still a tie, the fastest lap time will be the tiebreaker.
