On the roads - Grangex excavator ex3600

When the first deliveries of machine components for our large excavator (the Hitachi EX3600-7) were delivered in Kirkenes, we documentet the last legs of the journey. This machine will operate at the Sydvaranger mine and is one of the strategic deliveries that is crucial to have in place ahead of the mine's restart. To understand just how big this machine really is, here are a few facts: Backhoe Bucket capacity: 22.0 m3. Operating Weight: 365 000 kg. Each machine component required two trailers and a pilot escort during transport — in this case along roads stretching all the way from Hanko in southern Finland to Kirkenes. Road capacity and width had to be carefully assessed before every stage of the journey.
