Exaltación SANTA CRUZ | ALLOZA 2025

The residents of Alloza gathered around 11:30 a.m. this Sunday at the Church of the Immaculate Conception to begin the procession of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross to the Hermitage of the Holy Sepulchre, on Calvary. The elderly and children's majas, accompanied by all the residents and authorities, climbed Mount Calvary with the image of Christ in bed. Dressed in their best Baturra attire and with the local band harmonizing the day, the procession culminated with the bed with the Christ at the door of the hermitage, giving way to the celebration of the solemn mass. Given the high temperatures, no resident wanted to miss this very special celebration for Alloza, despite having to hold their fans in their hands and open them from time to time to get some fresh air.
