You start in the town of Imada and walk directly into an impressive valley that impressed us with its huge canyons, stunning volcanic landscapes, jungle flair, and beautiful old levadas (old water pipes). The tour is physically demanding, but well worth it. First, you descend many meters into the gorge. Later, you have to hike back up again.
