Fits with the song too. Even though this has nothing to do with the themes whatsoever... I've had this idea in mind for so long, and just thought to release it during this glorious time! And what better way to celebrate this amazing couple than to look back on all their moments and the development of their relationship in Book 1 :') The song starts off with Korra's POV because (lbr) she's always been well ahead of Mako on the whole makorra game. Then in the middle of the song, it switches over to Mako's POV, since he takes some time to realize what's been in front of him all along... and when he finally does, it's like a spark goes off in his head. And/or heart. Whatever. To be honest, the pacing kind of ran away from me, and I had to make this song longer than it actually is. OOPS. There was just so much I wanted to include and well... I just got REALLY NOSTALGIC, OKAY. Oh well, the more makorra, the merrier.
