Macaroom's releases have been recommended by novelist Genichiro Takahashi and illustrator Yusuke Nakamura, among others. He released "cage out," an attempt to question the conventionalized practice of John Cage performance. He has published "My First Breakthrough in Music: Easy Contemporary Composition Methods" (Jiyugendaisha), the first explanation of contemporary music theory aimed at beginners.
