Walking Luxembourg's Lee Trail Using Only Public Transport | One Base, Epic Day Hikes.

The Lee Trail (full name: Escapardenne Lee Trail) is a long-distance trail stretching 53 kilometres (33 miles) through the heart of Luxembourg. Starting in Ettelbruck, it takes about three days to hike to the village of Kautenbach. The translation of Lee is ‘Lei’ in Luxembourgish and that defines the rocky ridges you’ll discover multiple times during the trail. The trail follows the River Sauer (also known as the Sûre), passing through several villages along the way. The trail is incredibly varied, as you walk through mossy, rocky forests and colourful meadows full of flowers, and regularly find yourself at a beautiful viewpoint. With 2000m of elevation gain, 30+ outstanding viewpoints, and more than 60% of the trail in a natural state, it makes sense that it’s qualified as one of the ‘Leading Quality Trails – Best of Europe.’ We stayed in Ettelbruck and took public transport every day to go to the trailhead and back. An easy, short journey what allowed us to do the trail with a light daypack. #LeeTrail #longdistancehiking #Hike #luxembourg Music: ++++++ Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com Content: 00:00 Intro 00:40 Day One: Ettelbruck to Bourscheid-Moulin 06:04 Day Two: Bourscheid-Moulin to Hoscheid 11:05 Day Three: Hoscheid to Kautenbach
