2 Chronicles 25 - New King James Version | Pride Always Has A Price

It is possible to begin well, obey God in many areas, and still slowly drift when pride takes the place of trust. Amaziah experienced victory because the Lord was with him, yet after tasting success, his heart wandered. He listened to the wrong voices, embraced false gods, rejected God’s correction, and discovered that yesterday’s obedience cannot replace today’s surrender. Every generation faces the same choice. We can seek the approval of people, trust in our own strength, or remain humble before the Lord who sees every heart. God has never desired partial devotion or outward religion. He calls His people to walk with Him faithfully, receiving His correction as the loving guidance of a Father who desires life, not destruction. The good news is that Jesus Christ is the perfectly faithful King that Amaziah could never be. He remained obedient to the Father in every trial, humbled Himself to the cross, and rose again in victory over sin and death. Today He still calls every heart to lay down pride, receive His grace, and follow Him with wholehearted devotion. There is no greater freedom than belonging completely to the risen King. If this Word blesses you, follow, like, and share the good news.
