The village is quite large with several areas, so it can be confusing where to go. Personally, I recommend Bangok Village — it’s quiet, cozy, and perfect for a walk. 📍Bubu Restaurant Freshwater snail sujebi – 11,000 KRW Open from 11 AM to 2 PM (Closed on Mondays) Waiting list closes at 2 PM, and they may close earlier if ingredients run out. 📍Geurigonae Archive (former Gurye Town Office) The building is beautiful, and the cherry blossoms are in full bloom right now. Not a must-visit spot, but it’s right in front of the restaurant, so it’s perfect for taking photos while waiting. (The building was closed.) 📍Bingurye A cute and cozy gelato shop near the Gurye traditional market. If you visit on market day, you can enjoy both the market and the shop. 📍Mokwol Bakery A must-visit bakery known for its healthy ingredients and great taste. They often sell out by 1:30 PM on weekdays, so I recommend visiting before lunch or going early. On weekends, check for break time before visiting. 📍Ssangsanjae A beautiful traditional house featured in “Youn’s Stay.” Relax in the well-maintained garden. Entrance fee is 10,000 KRW (includes a drink). 📍Hwaeomsa Temple A thousand-year-old temple located at the foot of Jirisan Mountain. The 300-year-old red plum blossoms are in full bloom right now.
