Build Finance Tools with AI — ChatGPT, Claude & Lovable (No Code) | with Animesh Giradkar

A live, hands-on AI workshop for finance and commerce students — where we go from prompts to real, working apps in under two hours, no coding required. Led by Animesh Giradkar (PM, Payments & Finance; ex-Paytm; IIM Calcutta). Instead of just talking about AI, participants built their own tools live: budget trackers, expense trackers, fitness apps, habit trackers, and even a digital-marketing chatbot — using Lovable, an AI-powered no-code app builder. Along the way we cover the prompting method that makes AI actually useful, where these tools are reliable vs where they confidently lie to you, and how this skill maps to a finance career. Context — what it needs to know. Task — exactly what to do. Format — how the answer should look. A strong prompt has all four. Example strong prompt (budget app, used in the session): "Build a personal budget manager web app. Users can add income and expense entries, each with an amount, a category (rent, food, transport, savings, fun) and a short note. At the top, show three cards: total income, total expenses, and balance left. Below, show a list of all entries with a delete button on each, and a pie chart of expenses by category. Use Indian Rupees (₹). Make the design clean, modern and mobile-friendly." Bonus prompt to try yourself (net-worth tracker in Google Sheets + Gemini): "Help me build a personal net-worth tracker in Google Sheets. Create an 'Assets' section (bank savings, cash, investments, deposits) and a 'Liabilities' section (education loan, credit-card dues, other debts). Add an amount column in Indian Rupees, then add Total Assets, Total Liabilities, and a Net Worth cell that calculates Total Assets minus Total Liabilities. Format amounts as currency and make the Net Worth row bold." One rule from the session: an unverified AI number is a liability, not an answer.
