Is it possible to save money without buying less food? In this video, we test three strategies that many people in Canada don't use when doing their weekly grocery shopping: Ad Match (Price Match), price/weight comparison, and the PC Optimum rewards system. Our mission was simple: do a normal grocery shop for about 10 days and see how much money we could save using these strategies. During the shopping trip, we found hidden deals, matched prices from other stores using the Flipp app, compared products by actual quantity, and accumulated points that we could redeem for future discounts. At the end, we analyzed the entire receipt to discover how much we actually ended up paying and how much value we managed to save. Were these strategies worth it? Would we use them again?
