GAP.12 — Keynote 3: Frege Lecture & Award Ceremony
Awardee: Hannes Leitgeb Laudatio: Volker Halbach Commentary I: Maria Lasonen Commentary II: Richard Pettigrew 10. September 2025; 18:30 - 20:30 Hannes Leitgeb The Additivity of Epistemic Reasons: A New Example of Mathematical Philosophy While the study of reasons is of central interest in some parts of contemporary philosophy, it is mostly ignored in others. In my talk, I want to counter this fragmentation by suggesting a systematic bridge between the philosophical theory of epistemic reasons (normative reasons for belief) and Bayesian formal epistemology. If I am right, both sides can benefit from joining forces. Produziert vom Medienlabor
