Tackling the Growing Mental Health Issue

Boris Lesar is a registered psychologist, entrepreneur, and co-owner of The Family Psychology Place. He came to Canada on his own at 20, an experience that continues to shape his perspective on resilience, meaning, and building a life with intention. Over the past two decades, Boris has worked with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, addiction, and major life transitions. He served as Director of Clinical Operations and Programs at The Mustard Seed, where he led the development of a wellness centre for vulnerable populations, earning recognition from the Canadian Mental Health Association. He later founded Elevated Abilities, a well-established Alberta agency supporting children with disabilities and their families, and continues to consult with organizations on mental health strategy while teaching as adjunct faculty at City University of Seattle. Outside of his clinical work, Boris supports charitable initiatives for children and families internationally and volunteers annually in Guatemala building homes in highland communities. His work is grounded in both clinical expertise and lived experience, with a particular focus on helping people navigate questions of meaning, identity, and resilience. #calgary #business #yys #smallbusiness #entrepreneurs #mentalhealth #entrepreneurship Mario Toneguzzi is Managing Editor of Canada's Entrepreneur.
