In the 20th episode of our Cities Skylines series, built on a map of Turkey, we focus on the growing traffic problem in the Black Sea Region. The rapid development of the city, the increasing population, and the intensifying demand for transportation have created serious bottlenecks in this area. In this episode, our goal is to reorganize traffic not with temporary solutions, but with a permanent, planned, and sustainable system. I structured the video around two main structures: before and after the traffic reorganization. In the first part, I analyze the existing problems in detail; clearly highlighting congested intersections, faulty road hierarchies, inadequate connections, and deficiencies in public transportation. Then, I show comparatively how traffic has eased with the new road arrangements, intersection revisions, lane optimizations, and public transportation integrations I implemented. Throughout this process, considering the geographical structure of the Black Sea region, I strive to create a transportation infrastructure that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. Thanks to the correct road hierarchy, fluid main arteries, and supporting side roads, traffic in the region is significantly relieved. At the same time, the overall transportation balance in the city becomes more stable. This episode of Cities Skylines serves as a highly informative guide for viewers interested in traffic management, before/after analysis logic, transportation planning, and city-scale infrastructure improvement.
