The batting is thick and warm, a semi-wool blend, the outer fabric is made of dense 100% suiting linen, and the lining is made of lightweight 100% shirting linen. The bias-cut backing is made of lightweight linen lining. This model is designed without a scarf collar, with large fronts. Therefore, in terms of materials, it is a linen quilted jacket. The hut/hearth/well/spiral patchwork style I used is one of my favorites, as the seams always turn out neat and even. Sewing with this method from strips of fabric leaves minimal leftovers. It's well suited for beginners, as you don't need to rely on complex block patterns and can create a completely custom design and color combination. I used a shirt pattern for the planning, with the insulating lining factored in. We've already created several patterns together; you can see them on my channel. To convert the shirt pattern into a quilted jacket pattern, you need to remove the sleeve cuffs and add this length to the sleeves, remove the collar (based on the pattern), and I also modified and added a large lapel.
