The History of Every Peco Wonderful Wagon Ever Produced in OO Gauge
In this visit to Tanningcote Town, we take a detailed look at the History of Peco Wonderful Wagons, from their initial release in 1954 to their eventual cessation of production in the mid to late 1980s. For 30 years or so, the range grew, expanded, contracted and improved as more wagon designs and types were introduced. I've looked at all the wagon types, from the series 1 wagons with wooden body parts to the later fully die-cast chassis models that followed. With extensive research I have managed to identify every model released, when it was released and of course I have also managed to obtain at least one example of every model so that they can all be displayed in this presentation. Some of the models you see here are over 70 years old, and all of them have been carefully restored or produced from unmade kits for you to see in this video. I'm immensely grateful to Peco for their support - from helping me to find obsolete wagon cards, providing me with some of the missing information and also for allowing me to use images of their catalogues & magazines in the production of this video. I recommend wholeheartedly Peco and their products, along with the strong suggestion of a subscription to Railway Modeller - back issues of every magazine ever printed are available online and were the source of a lot of the research I completed. So, love them as I do (or hate them), sit back and learn a bit more about these little gems of model railway history, the Peco Wonderful Wagons.
