Accretion disk and binary star (N-body simulation)
An accretion disk orbiting a star is disturbed by a less massive companion star. I let the simulation run for 90 days to see what structure will the particles eventually settle into. The disk is assumed to be much ligher than either of the stars and is simulated as non-interacting test particles. This allows to run the simulation much faster; despite the long duration it only took about an hour on my PC, including the render.
