Trailhead: Pinecrest Lake trailhead Total distance: 7 miles Elevation Gain: 843 ft ( class 3 climbing last 0.5 miles) Less than 3 hours from Bay area, right in the middle of Stanislaus National Forest. Pinecrest Lake sits on 5,600ft above sea level with majestic granite mountains as a background. Hiking, fishing, swimming, Bike riding and Kayaking are allowed Pinecrest Lake trail: 4 mile loop. Cleo's Bath is a popular hiking destination and swimming hole for locals and tourists looking to escape the heat of the summer. Tips: 1.Proper hiking shoes and climbing gloves will help. 2.Mosquitos repellent and sun screen recommended. 3.Bring plenty of water or water filter. 4.Keep an eye out for the blue spray painted arrows and Cairns.
