Claude Plays Pokémon VOD 12-9-25 Part 1

Claude is an AI (in particular, a Large Language Model developed by Anthropic) trying to play and beat Pokémon Red on the Game Boy. It gets fed screenshots of the game, thinks for a bit, then sends the emulator an input. It can also input coordinates of tiles found in his current field of view to automatically navigate to that tile. Claude can be very silly and gets easily challenged over things that humans would understand very quickly. He also has bad vision and hallucinates things a lot (often misreading what he can see on the screen), as well as often misunderstanding his own progress. The particular model in this VOD is Claude Opus 4.5.
