Wrecked Gun Found Magnet Fishing (Impressive Restoration) A while back we found an old wrecked gun in the canal when we were magnet fishing. The gun was in a terrible state, it had obviously been in the canal for a very long time. The gun turned out to be a 1940’s BSA Cadet Air Rifle. Fortunately we were allowed to keep it, as you don’t have to hand air rifles over to the police. This being the case we thought it would be a nice idea to try and restore it and hopefully get it working again - albeit a bit of a challenge!! The restoration went incredibly well, we are very pleased with the final result. We particularly liked the unusual markings on the gunstock, we decided to leave them on there and not sand them off. We think the markings may have been caused by the microbial action in the canal bed. The stock is certainly a one off! We hope you enjoy watching the transformation.
