If Mexican isn't a race, then what race are they? Today, we're going to be discussing the racial makeup of Hispanics and Latinos in Latin America and the United States, and the history of the region. The situation of race and ethnicity in Latin America is extremely confusing for both outside observers as well as for those who actually live there, and I'm going to attempt to shed some light on the situation, which I can largely relate to. I've been studying the region for a long time, and although I'm not an expert, I do know a bit about the subject through speaking to my many Hispanic friends, and reading about the subject.
