canon s-95 s-100 CLEAN THE SENSOR AND LENS ELEMENTS. (may apply to many point and shoot cameras.)
CLEAN YOUR SENSOR.. You get a speck on the sensor--lenses--and bonking and blowing does nothing. You have to clean the sensor or throw it out. This procedure can be done by anyone--it takes less time then the duration of the video but I suggest watching it to the end. UPDATE--the 3 screws holding the sensor down are "mortorq" even though a phillips works fine--but if it has a super sharp tip stone it off a bit and press down that first turn so not to strip it out!. (it is a variation of phillips) Now I have taken apart a big zoom lens for my good camera for the same issue plus this camera itself so I no longer view taking apart cameras as impossible. I also was scared to death the first time I cleaned by sensor on my canon 80-d--that was FAR simpler than this video fix. Plus they tried to con me and quoted me like $150 and that I would have to leave the camera! The camera specialists at big companies are good--where the corruption is, is where the customer goes in to a shop and starts asking questions.
