My doors were really ruined! They are very old and I decided to restore them to their former glory. First of all, I removed the glass, so I could only work on the wooden structure and not risk breaking them. I then cleaned the surface using sandpaper, removing all defects and starting to smooth the surface. Now that the surface is smooth I created a mixture with sawdust and "Mastro D'Ascia" glue and used it to fill cracks and small holes. Once dry, I sanded to remove all defects and smoothen the paint again. Now it's time for the protective coat, I chose Marron Glacé, to add a toning touch. I applied two coats, the first pure and the second by adding a tablespoon of water. Finally, I applied my water repellent, the doors face outwards and I want them to be perfectly protected from the rain and the bad weather.
