In 2015 a young man named Dev made it to the US National Scripps spelling bee. After a hard-fought gauntlet of challenging words, he was eventually knocked out of competition, at a highly respectable 4th place. One might imagine a 4th place finish would qualify one for any sort of fame, but thanks to a clip of Dev misspelling "Iridocyclitis" going viral on Vine...Dev got more fame than he ever wanted.
