Richard steps off a Greyhound bus in the sweltering heat of Los Angeles. He doesn't yet realize that everyone already knows his grim face. He quickly finds out, however, when he's recognized at the first store he enters to grab a roll and coffee after a long drive. A chase ensues. Richard jumps countless fences, tries to intimidate people, and steals a few cars, but because he's tangled with the brave residents of East Los Angeles, who don't back down easily from a stinker, he ends up with two deep head wounds and an arrest.
