Full brake disc replacement with rotating piston or wind back calipers (shown on a Fiat Panda 4x4)

What are wind back calipers? Luckily our commenter Stefano tipped us off ..... It's to do with the handbrake, as the pads wear and the handbrake applied, it winds the piston out to take up the gap caused by the pads wearing. The best way is to get yourself a cheap wind back tool kit - it makes life a lot easier (fiddly at the best of times) for rotating the piston back into the caliper to enable proper fit for new brake pads. These are used on many Japanese and European models. We shod our new to use Panda 169 4x4 with some sexy Brembo discs and pads.
