When McCartney Stops Curating
After the last couple of weeks on here, I ended up going back and listening to a lot of Paul McCartney. A lot. And I think I’ve landed on something I hadn’t really clocked before - I actually prefer him when he’s not trying to shape everything narratively around a project. When it’s a bit more direct, a bit less polished… just sounds like Macca doing what he does best. Less curation, more creation. This is really about two albums in particular - Ram and Flaming Pie - and why I keep coming back to them year after year. Let me know what you think.
