We are nothing but specks of Dust in this vast Universe. Yes, we are a tiny little piece of dust in this Infinite Cosmos. We need to Accept it. But it is difficult to accept for few. It’s because deep inside, we know we don’t want to be tiny. Infinitesimal. We aspire to be "Big". We want to conquer. Conquer what? We don’t know. Why conquer? We are not sure. Conquer whom? The World? Or conquer Ourselves? Which one is bigger? We or the world? We are bigger than this world. Inside each one of us lies the entire universe. Everything we seek is already inside each one of us and we are looking elsewhere. Happiness, satisfaction, pleasure, contentment, knowledge, wisdom – whatever we seek, is already there. But alas, we are afraid. This fear compels us to look outside, not inside. • In wealth lies the fear of poverty. • In knowledge, the fear of ignorance. • In beauty, the fear of age. • In fame, the fear of backbiters. • In success, the fear of jealousy. • Even in the body, there is a fear of death. Everything on this earth is fraught with fear. In the Vedas, this word is always repeated — fearlessness, fear nothing. Fear is a sign of weakness. A man must go about his duties without taking notice of the sneers and ridicule of the world. Be fearless in your pursuits and behavior. When the fear is gone, you will realise that this tiny little dust which you consider yourself to be is actually a universe in itself. How does it matter how big or small the external universe is? Your internal universe is so big and bottomless that your one life is not sufficient to explore it. Look inside and be fearless. Don’t compare your size with the size of the universe. Be more concerned about what lies within you. That is where your real size, your real scale lies.
