2 Hours of Free Work Landed this VA with 5 Dream Clients

In this episode, I’m chatting with Molly, the founder of The Molly Method. Molly joined The VA Academy in March after feeling burnt out, stressed and exhausted in her corporate role working for an Irish cosmetics company in Dublin. She knew she wanted more freedom, more flexibility and the option to build a life that wasn’t tied to the traditional 9-5. After joining The VA Academy, Molly handed in her notice and used her 2-month notice period to set up her Virtual Assistant business properly behind the scenes. Her business officially kicked off in May and, by early August, she had landed 5 clients. We chat about what it was like leaving her full-time job, how she used Facebook groups to get herself in front of potential clients, and how offering 2 hours of free VA support helped her build confidence, get experience and start landing paid work. Molly now works with a mix of clients, including an artist, a music teacher, a dance school, a pharmacy and a PT, which is such a brilliant example of how varied VA work can be. She also shares what it felt like to go from feeling stuck in her corporate role to building something of her own, and how her business has given her more options for the future, including the flexibility to move back to Dublin without needing to go back into a 9-5.
