Ohio couple opens Alabama's first Black-owned RV resort near Talladega Superspeedway
An Ohio couple is getting ready to open Alabama's first Black-owned RV resort near the Talladega Superspeedway. The couple hopes their investment will get more African American people into camping and NASCAR racing. Nathan and Alicia Lawson, who are entrepreneurs from Ohio, are the owners of Time Away RV Resort. The campground is located two miles from Interstate 20 and will be open year-round. The Lawson’s plans to have their grand opening in June. Right now, a majority of the camping spots are already booked. For more information about their nightly rates, click here.
