Cartoonist; with a long career in electronic and print media; winner of the National Journalism Prize for Political Cartoons (2000) and the José Pagés Llergo National Communication Prize (2006). He is a naturally unconventional cartoonist. He studied Communication Sciences at the Western Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESO) in Guadalajara. He was part of a group of young people from that city who published the magazine Galimatías in the 1980s, and later the humor supplement La mamá del abalón. He has also participated in various social criticism forums. From a very young age, he began his career in cartooning, drawing for his classmates. Later, he created various comic strips for different newspapers in Guadalajara and subsequently in Mexico City, for the newspaper La Jornada. He currently publishes his strips in the newspapers of the Reforma Group: Crónicas marcianas, Fábulas de policías y ladrones, El rey Chiquito, Pipo y don Calvino, Ruleteros y don Taquero. In radio, he has worked on projects since the 1980s, such as *El festín de los marranos*, *Gárgaras*, *Cucamonga*, *Tripas de gato*, *La pitaya Ye-yé*, and since 2009, the weekly program *La chora*.
