Actually, I've been wanting to share this video for a long time, but I finally got around to it. (I was sewing late at night, so I'm wearing my pajamas and have a bare face. Please excuse this.) Instead, I went into great detail (perhaps too much?) about how I sew and break in pointe shoes. As I mentioned in the video, if you haven't found a pair of pointe shoes that suits you, I personally believe the best way is to watch how various dancers sew their pointe shoes, apply the techniques yourself, and create your own unique pointe shoes. So, I hope my video was helpful. I also hope it's helpful to those unfamiliar with ballet and pointe shoes. Because there's so much to talk about, I've split this video into two parts.
