Naughty Dog's Forgotten Legacy: Jak and Daxter Full Game Retrospective

ak and Daxter : the Precursor Legacy was a huge success when it came out. I remember seeing it on store shelves in the converted platinum case. Because only the best go platinum. Which is highly debatable. Unlike some of those other questionable games, I really did enjoy Jak and Daxter. It had an interesting world and fun game mechanics. But when it comes to the series as a whole, my feelings are more mixed. The Jak and Daxter trilogy is…messy. Not in the sense that the individual games are bad, but rather in the way the trilogy is structured. The first game in the series feels almost entirely detached from its sequels, not only in terms of its gameplay but also in its tone. And yet many of the main characters make their introduction in this title. Making the series feel incomplete without it. So let’s take a look at where this messy trilogy began.
