In this trip, I headed across the bay to get back on the fish and shake the rust off—and it didn’t disappoint. I was able to land 2 spotted sea trout and 2 redfish, making for a solid day back on the water here in the Panama City area. After being away from fishing for a while, this trip meant more than just catching fish. It was about getting back into the rhythm, enjoying the water, and reconnecting with the grind of building content for the channel. There’s nothing like that first bite after time away—it hits different. The bite wasn’t nonstop, but it was consistent enough to keep things exciting, and I’ll take a redfish and trout combo day any time, especially after a long break.
