The poet, Dallán Forgaill, was blind. His poem was later sung to the tune of "Slane,” named after the Hill where St. Patrick let his light shine for Christ. Over a thousand years after ‘Be Thou My Vision,’ was written the global Church continues to join in the refrain, “Heart of my own heart whatever befall // Still be my vision, O Ruler of all.” Musical artists, Christy and Nathan Nockels, collaborate with visual artist and Master Penman, Jake Weidmann to usher in a beloved hymn of old for a new generation so that it might live on in the body of Christ.
