Audi A3 Saloon Review | Worthy Alternative To An A4? Perhaps you're on the hunt for an Audi A4, but you're on a bit of a budget, maybe the latest A3 Saloon may be a better fit? It offers big-Audi tech, but in a more compact shape, so could THIS be the thinking man's executive car? The variant shown in this video is for those who want this repsmobile to look a bit more striking and sporty, as this is the S Line. This means the car receives 18" alloys, S Line styling, LED headlights, LED rear lights with dynamic indicators, S Line Suspension and body-hugging front sports seats plus more. This particular version is also the fastest petrol option available as it has the 1.5 litre, turbocharged petrol (dubbed the 35 TFSI), offering 150hp and 250Nm of torque. Power is fed to the front wheels (quattro is also available) via a 7-speed S Tronic gearbox. 0-62 comes in 8.4 seconds, which may seem a little lethargic, but thanks to an additional 50Nm offered by the 48v mild hybrid system and lower revs, the performance feels punchy. Top speed is 144mph, in case you're wondering. This model can offer up to 47.9mpg on a combined run, and it emits 134g/km of CO2 emissions. There is also a choice of a 1.0 litre petrol, or a 2.0 litre diesel, just in case this engine isn't for you, and you can also have a 6-speed manual depending on the engine and trim level.
