Hard Wax vs Poly Shootout! | Rubio Monocoat & Osmo Finishing Test!

So many people have said a hard wax finishes like Rubio Monocoat or Osmo are the best. I decided to test it for myself to see how much abuse it can withstand. I’ve heard a lot of bold claims like hard wax finishes do not get water rings and can withstand the same abuse as your toughest woodworking finishes. There’s only one way to find out – test them myself! I love using both hard wax and poly wood finishes. While I joke about the claims regarding hard wax finishes, in reality, they are my go-to finishes for most projects. At the same time, I want to know the truth about them and how well they perform when subjected to abuse. This test should not push you away from using either one of these woodworking finishes. Hard wax and poly are both fantastic.
