More than 6,000 lambs are expected to be born this year at the farm, where 75 percent of the ewes have twins. The lambs, born at 3 kilograms, grow tenfold in just 2.5 months, reaching 30 kilograms in weight. Milk time, when lambs reunite with their mothers, is a colorful time. One or two out of every 100 ewes can have quintuplets or sextuplets." Altıparmak noted that 40 personnel were assigned to monitor the births, which began on February 1st at the farm, which houses 3,800 sheep. He explained that mothers and lambs are kept together for three days after birth, during which time they become familiar with each other by smell and sound, and then acclimatize to the flock. They reach 45 kilograms in 5 months The lambs, who have adapted to the flock of 500 animals in a month, meet their mothers three times a day during milking time, turning into a visual feast. Bafra sheep, a popular breed in the market every year, attract buyers from all over the country after reaching 45 kilograms in 5 months.
