Jeez Louise - Se Réapproprier Son Corps - Partie 2

In this second episode dedicated to reclaiming one's body, I address the issue of body representation in our society: men's bodies, but especially women's. Through current events, such as Clavicular's presence in Paris or Léna Mahfouf's appearance on Loïc Prigent's podcast, as well as literary references that inform my thinking, I examine the place given to the female body in our culture. I draw particularly on Mona Chollet's Fatal Beauty and Sophie Gilbert's *Girl on Girl*, which analyze the numerous pressures women face: hypersexualization, the cult of thinness, the obsession with youth, and the constant pressure to be desirable. I develop the idea that, in our society, being a woman still very often means being perceived through one's body. This is why I consider reclaiming one's body to be a political act as well. Before even discussing self-acceptance or self-love, it seems essential to understand the mechanisms that shape our perception of our own body and the bodies of others. What are your thoughts on this aspect of reclaiming one's body? See you next Wednesday, xx
