Green Long Ducker | Harrow International School Appi Japan

The Long Ducker is one of Harrow School UK’s most historic traditions — a charity run uniting Harrovians, Beaks, parents and Old Harrovians. At Harrow Appi, we are proud to honour this legacy with the Green Long Ducker, adapted for our unique mountain setting in northern Japan. Our pupils took to the trails of Mt Maemori, bringing an Appi interpretation to this iconic event. Prep pupils completed a 3.5km loop to mid-mountain, while Senior and Sixth Form pupils ascended to the summit - a demanding 5km route with 500m of elevation. Each participant crossed the finish beneath the Harrow Appi arch, before celebrating together as a community.
